Libertarian Party of McLennan County Supports Marijuana Penalty Reduction Bill Passed by Texas House of Representatives, Questions the Votes of Local Representatives
The Texas House of Representatives took up HB 63 this week, which decreases the penalty for marijuana possession. It passed by a vote of 98-43. The Libertarian Party of McLennan County supports the House’s actions in regards to this legislation. Continue reading
The Libertarian Party of McLennan County will hold its first quarter business meeting on Monday, April 1, 2019.
Items on the agenda include voting on a new party secretary, and general discussion on the party’s goals for 2019.
Location will be at Collin Street Bakery and the meeting will begin at 6:00 pm.

A special convention will be held to fill a vacant seat on the State Libertarian Executive Committee (SLEC).
This seat represents District 22, which encompasses McLennan, Falls, Bosque, Hill, Somervell, Hood, Johnson, Ellis, and Navarro counties.
The convention will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Collin St Bakery in Bellmead, Texas. The convention begins at 2:00 p.m.

The State Libertarian Executive Committee has four officers, and two representatives from each state senatorial district. State officers and SLEC representatives are elected for two-year terms at the biannual State Convention. The committee sets policy and conducts business for the Libertarian Party of Texas.
